With three releases already under his belt, including 2008's hot Live at Newport, Scott returned earlier this year with his third--and, considered by many to be his finest--studio disc, Yesterday You Said Tomorrow (Concord), already released in Europe but seeing North American release on March 30, 2010.
A recent live date in Russia gave AAJ Contributor Frederick Bernas the opportunity to speak with Scott. Forthright and outspoken, Scott has already ruffled the feathers of at least one icon from the jazz establishment, and you can read all that he has to say in Frederick's informative interview, Christian Scott: Breaking Boundaries, Crossing Lines, published today at AAJ.
You can also read AAJ Senior Editor Chris May's insightful review of Yesterday You Said Tomorrow, published when the CD was released in Europe. Members can still download Died In Love," (from Live at Newport), featured as one of AAJ's Daily Download back when the album was first released in 2008, but still available, and everyone can view today's featured video from that same date.
