Composer/Producer/Musician Yoham Chiqui Ortiz announces the release party for the debut CD of his trio, Yoham Ortiz Concept. The release party will be held on Thursday August 20th 2009 - 7 p.m. at Pier 40 in Manhattan aboard the Steamboat LILAC - as featured in The New York Times as one of the citys hottest nontraditional venues. With a live performances beginning at sunset (8 p.m.), against the backdrop of the Hudson River and the New York City skyline, the ever docked steamboat will feature a romantic atmosphere, dancing, cash bar and FREE CD to all attendees.


Creating a jazz based sound with present African and Latin American influences, as well as Rock inspired energy; the Yoham Ortiz Concept empowers and entertains while engaging audiences with a new and positive sound. Described as Spellbinding guitar [with] a refreshing, organic sound that grabs your attention by DJ German Santana of WKCR 89.9FM NYC, the Yoham Ortiz Concept trio, comprised of Yoham Ortiz (guitar/vocals), Itaiguara Brandao (bass) and Mauricio Zottarelli (drums), will be performing original vocal and instrumental songs.
