SONANCE RECORDS is pleased to announce that five of the greatest jazz musicians of all time have come together once more to delight audiences all over the globe. Aptly named CHILDREN ON THE CORNER, after the controversial Miles Davis album that rocked the jazz world, Children on the Corner features original members of the Miles Davis Band's “Electric Years" (1969-75):

Michael Wolff - piano and keys
Sonny Fortune - sax
Ndugu Chancler - drums
Badal Roy - tablas
This exciting quintet will be previewing new music from their upcoming Sonance Records release and classic Miles material from the groundbreaking era that these funk pioneers helped immortalize.
The world premiere of Children on the Corner is being held at YOSHI's in Oakland, California.
There will be four performances, Tuesday and Wednesday, July 16 and 17, at 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm each evening. The shows will be record live and a compilation released both on Sonance Records and on Live Discs.
Children on the Corner will be performing at clubs and festivals in the near future.
