Woodenhead Performs in New Orleans

Long running New Orleans instrumental fusion band Woodenhead makes a rare appearance in New Orleans this Saturday, July 11th. The band will perform a free midnight set at the city's flagship jazz venue, The Snug Harbor.

Woodenhead was formed by guitarist Jimmy Robinson in 1975.

The group has appeared in concert with John McLaughlin and Mahavishnu, Allen Holdsworth, The Dixie Dregs, The Steve Morse Band, The John McLaughlin Trio, Bela Fleck And The Flecktones, Chick Corea's Elektrik Band, Billy Cobham, Shadowfax, Jeff Lorber Fusion, Hugh Masekela, The Neville brothers and others. They have played The New Orleans Jazz Festival over 25 times.



Snug harbor is located at 626 Frenchmen Street, on New Orleans famed Frenchmen music club area.
