Will Bernard & Otherbug embark on a mini east coast tour which kicks off in Burlington VT on October 16th at Club Metronome. Followed by Boston on the 17th (opening for Lake Trout) & wrapping up back in NYC at Tobacco Road on the 18th

With that said, let me fill you in a little more on a band (and it's members) that you will soon be hearing an awful lot about...

A relatively new project to the east coast, the tremendous talents of the NYC musicians, in combination with the superb musicianship of Will Bernard, could fool the most astute music aficionado in thinking that Otherbug has been around for quite some time. Tight is a bit of an understatement for this band. Simply put, Otherbug redefines the live music experience with their own blend of east-meets-west funk, jazz, R&B & jam rock.

By now you are probably wondering, yeah, but who exactly IS Otherbug? Otherbug is: Will Bernard (guitar), Joe Russo (drums), Marco Benevento (organ) and Justin Wallace (bass).

Will Bernard is an AMAZING guitarist from the Bay Area who has dominated the local club scene for years. He may be best know for his work in TJ Kirk with Blue Note recording artist Charlie Hunter. Will was just recently added to the lineup of Robert Walter's 20th Congress. He was also recently seen tearing it up with the Trey Anastasio band at this years Mt. Aire Festival which was the highlight of the 3 day run. Will currently heads up Motherbug in San Fran & now OTHERBUG in NYC.

On drums we have Joe Russo. Joe is also a part of the new lineup of Robert Walter's 20th Congress. Joe is formally of Fat Mama & Electron. When he's not on tour with Robert Walter or Otherbug you will find him on stage with Marco Benevento with their drum/organ duo that has taken over NYC.

We have the aforementioned Marco Benevento behind the organ. In addition to his drum organ duo with Joe Russo, whose reputation is that of some of the best music going in NYC these days, he is also a member of The Jazz farmers with the Barr brothers from the band The Slip. Marco is like John Medeski & Jimmy Smith all rolled up into one.

On the Bass we have Justin Wallace. Justin is a former member of ulu & is currently on tour with the legendary Melvin Sparks. Justin has played with allot of the big names on the jam band scene today like Eric Krasno (Soulive), Al Schnier (moe.), Stanton Moore (Galactic), DJ Logic, the list goes on & on.
