Dallas vocalist Carolyn Lee Jones hits the scene with a wonderful first course. Whether she is singing swinging jazz standards, beautiful ballads or jazzy upbeat pop tunes, Carolyn embraces her audience and the music with heart.

Supported by her talented friends and New York City musicians pianist Wells Hanley, bassist Saadi Zain and drummer Jacob Melchior, this CD is an innovative collection of classic jazz ("Blue Skies"), stylish new tunes ("Bon Appetit") along with a taste of vintage pop ("Tainted Love") all tied together in the jazz tradition.

Special guest Bob Dorough combines vocals and a new arrangement for a lively duet on his tune “Devil May Care." A great release from a rich new voice in jazz.

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
