In 1961, Ella Fitzgerald was on tour in the U.K. with the Oscar Peterson Trio (pianist Oscar Peterson, bassist Ray Brown and drummer Ed Thigpen). One of their stops was in Manchester, England, where they performed before a live audience at the studios of Granada TV.
