The Jazz Bridge Neighborhood Jazz at the Library Concert Series at the Willingboro Library, 220 Willingboro Way in Willingboro Township NJ, presents saxophonist Victor North and Three Blind Mice on Thursday, April 17th. Showtime is 7:30 p.m., tickets are $10, $5 for students and are only available at the door. For info: 215-517-8337 or visit Jazz Bridge.

Saxophonist Victor North is one of the rare artists on any instrument who can literally and figuratively play it all, from Great American Songbook standards, to bebop, to free-form and beyond. It’s hard to believe that this talented, versatile and swinging artist grew up in Alaska and was first exposed to jazz via weekly jam sessions at his local American Legion Hall! Since moving to Philadelphia, one of his dreams as a youth in Alaska, North began studies with greats such as Larry McKenna, Kenny Barron and Ralph Bowen. He’s become a confident and mature soloist, and is a fixture on the regional scene. In North’s Three Blind Mice, he is joined by organist Lucas Brown and drummer Wayne Smith Jr..
