An authentic experience of Cuba’s music and culture. And between now and December 31, travelers can receive $50 off the price of the trip.
Philadelphia bassist Alan Lewine will bring his original compositions to one of the premiere jazz festivals in the Caribbean-Havana Cuba's 35th Jazz Plaza the week of January 14-20, 2020.

American citizens can travel legally to Cuba and explore the culture and meet the wonderful people. Alan Lewine's Owlsong Productions in partnership with Cultural Island Travel has curated the perfect trip for a rate that is half the price of similar Cuban excursions. Havana’s Jazz Festival is the most exciting time of the year for music in Cuba, when many artists living abroad return home and multiple indoor and outdoor venues are overflowing with live music.

On this tour, our “fellow travelers" will experience the old-world charm of Havana and scenic rural Pinar del Rio province (considered the source of the world's best cigars), while also enjoying delicious food at Havana’s top restaurants. This trip provides an opportunity to become fully immersed in the rich history and culture of Cuba during the day. And it includes an all-access pass to the festival so that at night travelers can attend any number of festival shows at venues around Havana. And of course, everyone will have an opportunity to tour in Cuba's classic well-preserved American cars, sample the world's best rum, smoke Cuban cigars and meet the friendly, artistic, passionate Cuban people.

Our mission is to immerse jazz fans and those curious about Cuba in this passionate culture to truly experience Cuba just like a local. ‘Support for the Cuban People’ travel allows even the most seasoned travelers to view Cuba through the lens of the musicians, dancers, artists and locals—an experience that is difficult to find anywhere else in the world.

This trip to Cuba is legally compliant with current OFAC regulations

“So cool to be invited to present my material at this great festival! And we are proud to work with Cultural Island Travel, a non-profit company with 10 years' experience giving Americans the best possible experience of Cuba, its people and its culture- we've worked out a super-reasonable price, and through December 31, an extra $50 off." —Alan Lewine

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
