Tom Tallitsch
CD Release Concert
Perspective (Origin/OA2 Records, 2009)

Tenor and soprano saxophonist Tom Tallitsch released his third album, Perspective, on the Seattle-based jazz label Origin/OA2 Records (Jazzweek's 2009 Label Of The Year) on November 17th, 2009. With vivid musical imagery and a dynamic group interplay, Tallitsch's Philadelphia-based band winds through a set of his original compositions. From the relaxed opening lines of “Swirl" to the uptempo “Red Giant," Perspective documents an articulate and cohesive band, including guitarist Victor Baker, pianist John Stenger, bassist Paul Gehman and drummer Justin Leigh.

He will be performing compositions from his new album, Perspective, and from his previous two albums at Chris' Jazz Café (1421 Sansom St. Philadelphia):

February 5, 2010
8pm and 10pm sets

Tom Tallitsch: tenor and soprano saxophones
Mike Kennedy: guitar
John Stenger: piano
Paul Gehman: bass
Justin Leigh:: drums

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
