The Long Awaited Follow-up to Extremities is Finally Here. “Into Your Heart" has received rave reviews from the public and the music industry, since it's February 14th debut.

JazzBridge Music is proud to present its debut release, Tom Schuman's new solo CD, “Into Your Heart." A complete departure from his 1990 debut album Extremities, this ground breaking effort is sure to be a favorite among contemporary jazz lovers across the world.

“This new release is a reflection of my life for the past decade. I put 100% of my mind, body, heart and spirit into this project. From the writing, to the performances, to the production, to the mixes, to the packaging...Every aspect of this CD represents a large piece of my soul.

Jazz is rudimentary to Schuman's musical inspiration and has defined his more than 25 years of performance, writing and production experience. His father, Wally Schuman was a notable jazz bassist, who was a figure in the jazz scene from the fifties through the eighties. Tom salutes his father's loving memory in the composition Portrait of My Father. Jaco Pastorious, whose celebrated and critical influence on the musical world is honored in the composition Past Stories. Into Your Heart displays Tom Schuman's extraordinary writing and dexterity on both piano and bass, the faultless vocals of Dottie Jones and the deft percussion of David Charles. Schuman dedicates this CD to his personal family and the world family and encourages us to Find A Way to reach each other's hearts.

“ There's so much good stuff on it that I gotta play all of it." Al Santos, Air Personality, 105.9 FM WJZW Smooth Jazz, Washington, D.C.

Into Your Heart is a refreshing display of Tom Schumans extraordinary writing and musicianship. From the beautiful jazz ballads to the ferocious fusion explorations, its clear Tom Schuman is one of the most gifted musicians of our time. Listen and be amazed.
