“Tim Lyddon is a pianist who plays with extraordinary drive, impressive chops, good definition and a spirit which spreads nicely" says Cadence jazz. His latest CD, Ive Traveled So Far (Essence Jazz 2001) has been called “The best jazz piano trio CD in recent years" by WBGO's Dan Karcher. Tim has performed with many great jazz artists including Sam Most, Dick Berk, Elliot Zigmund, Bill Watrous, Jeff Berlin, Kim Richmond, Tom Rainey, Scott Lee, Billy Mintz etc.

“Lyddon combines hands with heart and mind. The sensibility here is one of enormous breadth, encompassing the unearthly beauty of Romantic and Impressionistic Imaginations, the classic American song form, and the harmonic innovations of the post-bop era. “I’ve Traveled So Far” is a quiet gem, one that impresses more and more with each hearing.” - Larry Nai (ejazznews)

“With an engaging light as a feather, block-chord touch, pianist Tim lyddon spins out original and standard compositions in the piano trio format. Even in a congested market, Lyddon makes a strong case for his rendering of the piano trio.” – Michael Bailey (All About Jazz)

“ Taken as a whole, this music is saturated with art, dignity and good fun. You won’t be let down here, jazz is alive and well.”- Stephen Koch (All About Jazz

“The pianist has a light touch that allows for a certain resonance, meaning that his lines-often little snippets of pure melody-are flecked with intrigue. - (Macnie) Village Voice
