Tickets for indoor programming at the 27th edition of the Festival International de Jazz de Montral on sale Saturday starting at 9am

Montreal May 3rd 2006 - Individual tickets for all indoor concerts presented at the 27th Festival International de Jazz de Montral will be on sale on Saturday, May 6th starting at 9 a.m. Tickets can be procured at the Festival Main Box Office - situated in the Spectrum de Montral - or on the Ticketpro or Admission networks or the box office at Place des Arts.

Tickets can also be purchased at the ticket offices of the halls and showhalls where the shows will be taking place.

Festival Membership Cards!
As for previous editions, the Festival International de Jazz de Montral will be offering jazz aficionados the opportunity to purchase one of three membership cards to the event. Membership cards allow holders to pick their seats at many concerts and to enjoy reductions of as much as 57% off regular prices.

Honorary Membership Card: $355.00 ($308.62 before taxes): Holders of this card enjoy the privilege of obtaining a total of 22 tickets. Savings can be as much as 57% off regular prices. Certain restrictions apply.

Associate Membership Card: $250 ($217.34 before taxes): Holders of this card enjoy the privilege of obtaining a total of 11 tickets. Savings can be as much as 40% off regular prices. Certain restrictions apply.

The Jazz Card: $185 ($160.83 before taxes): Holders of this card enjoy the privilege of obtaining 12 billets. Savings can be as much as 52% of the regular price. Certain restrictions apply.

Note that membership cards can ONLY be purchased at the Spectrum and DURING ONE DAY ONLY. Those who were members in 2005 can purchase their new card on Friday, May 5th starting at 9 a.m. New members can obtain a card on Friday, May 5th, between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Quantities for tickets for various concerts are limited, so we suggest you arrive early. No telephone, postal, fax or Internet sales will be accepted.

Hotel Reservations and Packages

Visitors from outside the Montreal region can reserve their stay during the Festival and obtain a Jazz CD, a gift-certificate redeemable at the Casino de Montral valued at $20, a 25% reduction in tickets to the Muse d'art contemporain de Montral (with a free audio guide) and priority access to indoor concerts. Price start at $133 CAN, per room, per night. (*)

Two nights at the Hyatt Regency Montral (the official Festival hotel) begin at $217 CAN per person, per night, based on double occupancy. The package includes daily breakfast and a Festival Kit containing a ticket for a concert in the Jazz d'ici series, a Friends of Festival card (a chair massage, daily water bottle and the 2006 compilation jazz CD), an exclusive Festival T-shirt (**), a $20 gift certificate redeemable at the Casino de Montral and a 25% reduction on tickets to the Muse d'art contemporain de Montral (with a free audio guide). A little planning goes a long, long way! Your Festival Kit includes: A Festival T-shirt; Priority access to tickets for indoor concerts; A ticket for the Jazz d'ici series, showcasing local musicians (quantities limited); A Gift Certificate for $20 redeemable at the Casino de Montral; A two-for-one foot tour of Old Montreal and Notre-Dame Basilica; A Friends of the Festival card that gives you privileged access to the Jam Sessions in the Hyatt regency Hotel and a compilation CD.

The total value of your Festival Kit is in excess of $160 for a four-day stay or $315 if you stay for the 11-day duration. And it only costs $40 per person-taxes included!

There are a number of interesting possibilities you may wish to consider, including 4 hotels right downtown near the Festival site and several in Old Montreal, as well. Every reservation you make entitles you to a compilation CD and a $20 Gift Certificate redeemable at the Casino de Montral. All prices are in Canadian dollars, per night based on double occupancy and include breakfast, starting from $133. Taxes and service extra.
