OSTHOFF RESORT ANNOUNCES CONCERT TICKETS NOW ON SALE FOR ANNUAL “JAZZ ON THE VINE" FESTIVAL

ELKHART LAKE, WISCONSIN - Fine wines, farmhouse cheeses and jazz both hot and cool. These are the ingredients of the acclaimed “Jazz on the Vine" festival at The Osthoff Resort on the shores of Elkhart Lake in southeast Wisconsin.

As glasses clink, the pure high-C notes of a trumpet or, perhaps, the melancholy wail of the tenor saxophone will drift over the waters of the lake as the historic resort stages the fifth annual repetition of this popular event from Friday, May 11 to Sunday, May 13, 2007.

“This is becoming a not-to-be-missed annual event for jazz aficionados," notes Lola Roeh, Osthoff's general manager. “It attracts internationally known performers and presents their music in the most conducive, relaxing setting imaginable, making this a fun weekend of good food and music and an ideal spring getaway."

This year's dynamic line-up features Peter White, Nick Colionne, Ray Parker, Jr., Marion Meadows, Eric Darius, Gregg Karukas and Curtis Stigers. All performances are held (rain or shine) tented on the grounds of The Osthoff Resort. Early reservations are recommended. Wine samplings are included with the purchase of concert tickets.

Tickets are priced at $45 per person, plus tax, for Friday evening (May 11) and $65 per person, plus tax, for Saturday afternoon and evening (May 12). A two-day ticket is $105 per person, plus tax; limited preferred seating is available at $150 per person, plus tax. A “Jazz Brunch" offered on Sunday (May 13) features live jazz entertainment and is priced at $24.95 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

“Jazz on the Vine" offers spectacular wines along with the music, featuring wines from Chile, Australia, France, Germany, Greece, Spain and New Zealand, as well as from domestic wineries in California, Washington and Oregon. Guests at the luxury resort enjoy sipping rare wines and sampling fine cuisine as they listen to the musical styling of the talented jazz musicians.

Casual fine dining is the hallmark of Lola's on the Lake, an upscale dining room with dramatic picture windows that overlook Elkhart Lake and the wooded hills that surround it. A talented kitchen produces regional cuisine that incorporates local organic ingredients. Lola's has a companionable bar with comfortable sofa seating, and offers patio dining during warmer months.

The Osthoff also is home to one of the Midwest's finest and most innovative health and beauty spas. State-of-the-art Aspira provides a holistic, organic approach to the spa experience and offers personalized services that reflect ancient healing wisdom of indigenous peoples from around the world. An extensive menu of treatments and services includes massages, facials, colortherapy, hydrotherapy, balneotherapy, salon services, spa manicures and spa pedicures. The resort offers 245 spacious suites and guestrooms. Guestrooms feature a king-size bed, private balcony, two-person whirlpool bath, wet bar and TV.
