The Who's 1979 documentary The Kids Are Alright" will be reissued in two different DVD forms Jan. 20 from UMe, both of which feature digital remastering and 5.1 surround sound.
The single-disc version features commentary by director Jeff Stein, while the double-disc boasts interviews with Who vocalist Roger Daltrey and Stein, a behind-the-scenes look at the film's restoration and live performances of the songs Baba O'Riley" and Won't Get Fooled Again" isolated with John Entwistle's bass lines.
Originally released on DVD in 2003, The Kids Are Alright" blends performance footage with an offstage peek at the Who from its Mod beginnings in early '60s London through to drummer Keith Moon's death in 1979.
