Montreal -- The Festival International de Jazz de Montreal and EMI Musique Canada are especially proud to offer media and music industry representatives a special, intimate performance by Kristina Train, the sensational new signing by the legendary Blue Note label. For this grand Montreal premiere, the powerful singer will perform songs from her debut album, Spilt Milk, released just this past October 20 and immediately embraced by the Quebec audience. The performance will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in the intimate Savoy du Metropolis.

Those who've already caught Train are unanimous: she's astonishing, nothing short of a genuine revelation! Beyond her beauty and remarkably easy-going demeanour, she boasts a superb style, delivering her songs with a deep, powerhouse voice, a little raspy at the edges and charged with a thousand lifetimes worth of soul. Both urban and intimate, as classic as she is contemporary, she sings soul and blues-she was raised in Savannah, Georgia-that are silky, gritty, and never less than gutsy. Her album is inescapably her: superb, solid and absolutely astounding. In short, it's a masterstroke, signed Blue Note!

“In showbiz you need flashy costumes and talent," says Isaak. “I have the flashy costumes, Kristina has the talent! She is really an amazing singer. I am a fan like everybody else who hears her voice."

“If you come to the show," he adds, “please do yourself a favorcome early and get settled so you can hear everything Kristina Train does, because you are going to kick yourself if you come in a minute late. She is that good."
