“Weekend of Culinary Delight" charity benefit set for April 16-17 at Art Center College of Design
PASADENA, CALIF. - April 1, 2005 - LeChefNet Productions will host their inaugural “Weekend of Culinary Delight" food and wine benefit event to be held at the Art Center College of Design's South Campus Wind Tunnel, 950 S. Raymond Ave. in Pasadena on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17, 2005 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Wind Tunnel's cavernous exhibit hall brings together great live music, restaurants, exhibitors, wine tasting, fashion shows, and dance demonstrations all under one roof in support of nonprofit organizations region wide.
The event, sponsored by radio 94.7 The Wave, has a fantastic musical line up including the outstanding Kasey Goveia Jazz Quintet who are performing two different shows; April 16th and April 17th at 1:45pm. Ms. Goveia has dazzled audiences around the world with her emotional rendering and artistic interpretation of traditional Jazz Vocal Standards. The Kasey Goveia Jazz Quintet, consisting of LA's finest Jazz musicians, will be performing treasured lyrical works from Jazz Songwriters of the '30s through '50s. Also scheduled to perform are the Pasadena Jazz Institute and Sacred Fire. Pure music pleasure you won't want to miss.
Some of the many charitable organizations that will be benefiting from this event are: Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles, Inc., The American Red Cross, AIDS Service Center, Epilepsy Foundation, and Haven House. This event is free to the public, with $1 tickets being sold to sample food and beverages at each restaurant station. Half of each ticket sold will be donated to a local charity of the ticket holder's choice. Lend your support to the community as you dine on fine cuisine and delight in your senses with the fantastic line up of scheduled entertainment.
