The Echo Nest's Dynamic Music Data solution aggregates music news and content with Echo Nest music data to create a real-time feed. Customers include MTV, Nuance, the BBC and Yahoo Music. Now The Echo Nest is enriching the stream with curated photos from Getty for the top 10,000 musicians which are then available for licensing by publishers. Instead of making do with Wikipedia portraits and dated stock images, publishers can have updated, curated, tagged pics for their use.

Yesterday The Echo Nest announced its partnership with Getty Images to add a new dimension to Dynamic Music Data:

“The Echo Nest's Dynamic Music Data solution is the most comprehensive, constantly updated, socially connected feed of music information. Every day we aggregate a real-time feed of the best images, bios, blog posts, news, social conversations, and more — across millions of artists and 30 million+ songs. Our intelligent stream of music data helps our customers show their millions of fans what's actually happening in the music world, right now, while eliminating costly dependencies on stale metadata sources."

Dynamic Music Data also draws on The Echo Nest's ability to rate songs, include descriptive data and provide updated verified links to musicians' websites and social media accounts.

Now premium photos from Getty Images will be added to the feed:

“The Echo Nest provides filtered API access to the best representative images for each artist from Getty Images' vast catalog, and appends those images with descriptive tags (e.g., group shots, landscape/portrait, runway, etc.) to help customers show the best images for each user experience."

According to this more detailed description:

“Customers can license directly from The Echo Nest up to 27,000 premium Getty Images for the top 10,000 artists."

“The Echo Nest's editorial experts select the most representative images for each artist from Getty catalogs, and attach descriptive tags to enable unique experiences."

So Getty Pictures' images aren't just being mixed in but have additional processing by The Echo Nest.
