Closing Night Party - Saturday 12/18 after the show.

Fresh Meat is a curated mini-festival of new works in progress. Artists are given week-long residencies in which to create something new. The work you'll see here blurs the lines between theater, dance, music and multimedia. Development of new work, and the taking of artistic risks, is a cornerstone of the Chocolate Factory's mission - and we've assembled an outstanding roster of artists creating challenging & exciting work. We think you'll agree. Join us. - Brian, Sheila, Aaron & Adam.

Festival curators: Brian Rogers & Aaron Rosenblum (performance events), Jeff Arnal (sound & music events).

ABOUT THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY Founded in 2003 by two downtown theater companies - theater et al and the LITE Co. - The Chocolate Factory Theater presents visual and performing arts events in a wide range of disciplines including dance, theater, video, music, performance art and spoken word.

In addition to the work of its founders, The Chocolate Factory supports the development of new work by visiting artists. We do not rent our space to outside artists or groups. Rather, we curate and present the work of visiting artists, providing artistic and administrative support in the form of dedicated access to our performance space, full use of our technical equipment, and marketing & press assistance.

Funders: NYSCA, the NYC Dept of Cultural Affairs, Queens Council on the Arts, the Edith Lutyens and Norman Bel Geddes Foundation, the Puffin Foundation, the ART/NY Nancy Quinn Fund, the AT&T Foundation, the JP Morgan Chase Foundation, the Liz Claiborne Foundation, and our many individual donors.
