A spirited live retrospective of our most beloved Jazz performers, including our headliners, The Duke Ellington Orchestra, and Pieces of a Dream

When the Duke Ellington Orchestra last graced our stage, Bill Clinton was President, gas was $1.35 per gallon, and the Cape May Jazz Festival was swinging to one of the most inspired tributes to one the most influential figures in jazz, if not in all American music. So profound was this performance, we've asked them back... and they said “YES"! Mark your calendars now, and join us for the Friday, November 9th performances of the Duke Ellington Orchestra.

Pieces of a Dream has become the quintessential “Favorites" of the Cape May Jazz Festivals. No other band has filled more seats at our Festival than Pieces of a Dream. Their music has come to define the musical essence of the smooth jazz radio explosion. From their Philly roots to stages across the globe, Pieces of a Dream will land on our “Favorites" stage, Saturday November 10th.

As any Festival patron will enthusiastically share, our Headliners are just the top of our Jazz Mountain! Over two-dozen Jazz events converge across our beautiful Victorian Cape May for one of the world's most unique weekend Jazz Festival experiences. Other favorites scheduled to appear include the unstoppable T.S. Monk; the impeccable swing of baritone Freddy Cole; Hammond B3 torchbearers Papa John & Joey DeFrancesco; legendary jazz crooner Ernie Andrews; jazz' workin' class hero - Houston Person; the Winston Byrd Quintet; steady percussion grooves of Keith Killgo Jazz, soulful jazz beats of Webb T's Fleet with Monnette Sudler; versatile piano styling of Aaron Graves; the contemporary jazz of Point Blank featuring Winston Ferguson; incomparable power blues of Barbara Walker; High energy Latin Orchestra - Cintron; New Orlean's rising superstars - Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers; high energy trumpeter Vaughn Nark; international award-winning Caribbean-Latin Jazz of the Afro-Rican Ensemble; Gospel and Blues of Barbara D.
