Sydney Bands Appearing at the Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival 2009

The 22nd annual Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival features something for everyone, the event will be celebrated on the 13th, 14th, 15th of March 2009 and will feature: Free jazz and blues in the park, concerts, cabaret, dance, eat to the beat, dinner jazz, breakfast jazz, jazz gospel service and an exhibition of previous Kiama jazz events at the old Fire Station.



A Sydney band, Viva the band has been invited once again to perform at the festival for their 5th year. Their international repertoire of jazz and swing performed in a gypsy Jazz style plus: French, Spanish Cuban, Russian Latin, salsa and classic feature tunes are a delightful adjunct to the many forms of jazz and blues performed at the festival.



Also appearing at the Kiama Jazz and blues festival is tremendous line up Australia's best talent including: Simon Tedeshi and Ian Cooper Quintet, Tona Harrod Quartet, George Washingmachine Quintet, George Golla and Bruce Mathiske, John Harkins Quartet, Ray Beadle Trio, Down South Jazz Trio, Pugsley Buzzard Wateringcan, Lional Robinson, Luke Koteras, The Jacky Howlers, Saxolette, Chase the sun, The Ritmo Arch, D’livr, Byron Mark and more!

Eugene Bridges from Houston, Texas,will be the featured International artist.



The Kane Dennelly Trio and Lee Holman and friends will be the featured Kiama local artists.



Local School and College bands will also be appearing, they include the Enmund Rice College band, Wollongong Conservatorium Jazz Ensemble and Kiama primary school band.

Venues participating in this event will be: Kiama Showground Pavilion, Shellharbour Workers Club, Kiama Leagues Club, Gerringong Town Hall, Waves on the beach, Kiama Blue Diamond, Little Blowhole Cafe, Santoni's Bar and Grill, Black Rock Cafe, Chachis, Bellachara, Park View Cafe, Kiama Inn Hotel, Jamberoo Pub and Kiama Grand Hotel.
