This fall, Verve Records will release the new album by four-time Grammy nominated roots rock singer/songwriter/guitarist Susan Tedeschi. The as-yet-untitled release is the follow up to 2005's acclaimed Hope & Desire. The album was produced by George Drakoulias at legendary Sunset Sound Studios, in Hollywood, CA. It features special guests Gary Louris of the Jayhawks, Derek Trucks, Tony Joe White and Doyle Bramhall II, all of whom collaborated with Tedeschi on the songwriting.

Of 2005's Hope and Desire Rolling Stone enthused “Tedeschi wails with such conviction, force and nuance." The New York Post proclaimed “she sings with Janis Joplin's passion, has Bonnie Raitt's knack for sounding sexy yet tough and plays the guitar as if she took lessons from Robert Johnson." In 2000 Tedeschi earned a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist for Just Won't Burn. The album was certified gold that same year.

Susan Tedeschi will announce a tour with her band this fall.

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
