Keyboard virtuoso Steve Weingart will again be performing with Steve Lukather (Guitar, Vocals) at forthcoming shows in California and Japan during October 2008, in support of Lukather's “Ever Changing Times" CD released earlier this year. The “No Jazz Tour" also features material from each of Lukather's solo albums, and some rarely performed Toto songs.

Oct 2 2008 Coach House, San Juan Capistrano, California
Oct 3 2008 Canyon Club, Agoura Hills, California
Oct 21 2008 IMP Hall, Osaka
Oct 22 2008 Zepp Nagoya, Nagoya
Oct 24 2008 Koseinenken Hall, Tokyo
Oct 25 2008 Koseinenken Hall, Tokyo

Lukather asked Weingart to put together a band for the tour, and Weingart selected Eric Valentine (Drums) and Carlitos Del Puerto (Bass). Ricky Z completed the line up, on rhythm guitar and vocals. The band toured extensively in Europe and across the States during the summer. At this time, a further tour of Europe is being arranged for early 2009. Luke's son, Trev Lukather, will be supporting act at the forthcoming Calfornian shows.

Steve Weingart has also toured with Victor Wooten, Warren Hill and Simon Phillips this year. Additionally, Weingart frequently performs with Marco Mendoza and Joey Heredia, and his own Los Angeles based jazz/funk band.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
