BOSTON, MA - June 10, 2005 - Steve Tyrell, acclaimed vocalist who brought the singing of standards back with his sexy swagger, has signed with the booking agency, Ted Kurland Associates for worldwide representation.

Tyrell's first album, A New Standard, released in 1999, topped the Billboard Jazz Charts for a phenomenal 100 plus weeks. His follow-up Standard Time stayed on the Billboard Jazz Chart for an unprecendented two years and hit No. 2 on the chart.

Steve has also had success on the other side of the microphone as a producer, creating Grammy Award winning albums for Rod Stewart, Linda Ronstadt, James Ingram, Aaron Neville, and others.

For his most recent CD, This Guy's in Love, Tyrell followed his heart and created a recording steeped in the romance of the love song. It features “This Guy's In Love With You," “Isn't It Romantic" and performances by jazz greats Clark Terry and Michael Brecker. The tracks also feature special guest performances by Burt Bacharach, whom Steve first worked with in the Sixties as A&R man for Scepter Records and has collaborated with for over 30 years now.

In Steve's singing The New York Times found an irresistible modern mix: “His sizable voice filters Louis Armstong through Ray Charles and Dr. John." The San Francisco Chronicle calls him “the most promising newcomer in the recently resurgent field of pop standards."

Steve's next album is scheduled for release on Walt Disney Records this September and will feature the ever-popular hit songs of the Disney movie classics sung Steve Tyrell style; with warmth, heart and the honest emotion which has already won over a legion of fans who have come to love his music.
