Special Riverwalk Jazz Christmas Show Available on PRX

This holiday season, Riverwalk Jazz offers to listeners and longtime fans a special hour-long Christmas broadcast, “Hot Jazz for a Cool Yule," fro streaming through the PRX website. This show will not be broadcast over the airwaves or on Sirius/XM satellite radio.

The special holiday show features musical guests singer Carol Woods ("Santa Baby"), soprano saxophonist Bob Wilber, piano legend Dick Hyman, singer Banu Gibson and tap dancing sensation Savion Glover. The arrangements of traditional Christmas songs were created by the renowned classic jazz arranger and pianist, John Sheridan.

In order to hear the entire hour-long show, you are asked to establish a free account on PRX. This enables you to hear other hour-long Riverwalk Jazz offerings on the website such as “Porgy and Bess" (parts 1 and 2) and “Crescent City Stomp."

Many of the tracks in this show are also available on the Riverwalk Jazz CD of the same name available here.
