About Patty Ascher

The Brazilian Endowment for the Arts Film Society is honored to feature an artist of the caliber of Patty Ascher.

Brilliantly talented Brazilian singer, Patty Ascher, will make a special appearance at the Brazilian Endowment for the Arts in New York on Thursday 25th August, 2011, at 7pm.

This is a rare opportunity to hear one of the freshest voices in Brazil. A Sao Paulo native, Patty sings jazz and bossa nova with seductive charm.

You'll recognize the songs but be surprised at Patty's distinctive signature to each one. Not only does she have a captivating voice, Patty is known for her amazing performances.

“Well, I cannot stop listening to Patty's version of my songs. They're so lovely and full of feeling." —Burt Bacharach

“I toured twice with Patty and I'm proud to tell that she's one of the great singers of our time. She reminds me of Ella, Sarah, Billie because she is so hypnotic on stage, a great diva." —Michel Legrand
