This looks pretty good, just heard about it.

All-day music festival in 5 venues throughout South Pasadena.

Tickets: southpasadena.net

On the Main Stage ($20)

9:00pm David Lindley
The definition of eclectic, Mr. Dave's combination of American folk, blues, and bluegrass traditions with elements from African, Arabic, Asian, Celtic, Malagasy, and Turkish musical sources is as unique as his collection of polyester shirts. Well known for his many years as a collaborator with Jackson Browne, and leader of his own band El Rayo-X, he has long championed the concept of world music from his groundbreaking work Kaleidoscope to the present.

8:00pm The Nervis Brothers
Louisiana native Eddie Baytos and Nervis Brothers have a unique, horn-driven take on Cajun, Zydeco and traditional 2nd Line styles. Eddie's high-energy vocals, washboard and accordion playing are backed up by a hard driving rhythm section and a horn section featuring members of Tower of Power.

7:00pm Double Naught Spy Car
Winners of an L.A. Weekly Music Award for Best Instrumental Band, Spy Car's cinematic punk jazz surf instrumental originals featuring lap steel guitar is “your soundtrack to the collapse of Western civilization."

6:00pm Moira Smiley & Voco
Moira Smiley leads an ensemble of extraordinary musicians who share a passion for spreading powerful, emotional music with lush four-part vocal harmony, cello, accordion and banjo. Original improvisation-built songs steeped in Appalachia and Eastern Europe. Named #1 a cappella group in the U.S. in 2007, VOCO is the energy of street singing and the elegance of a string quartet.

5:00pm Wahid
Original improvised oud & hand percussion informed by classical Turkish and Greek traditions.
