ON May 25, 2007, SMOOTH 91.7 & FRIENDS will launch the LAST FRIDAYS SMOOTH JAZZ LISTENER PARTIES at Gensollen's Nightclub, located just outside of Atlantic City at 247 White Horse Pike(Rt. 30) in Absecon, New Jersey, where our aim is to have a place to connect with our Smooth Jazz listening audience, while also allowing them to connect with each other.
PERFORMING LIVE ON MAY 25TH will be Wilmington, DE supergroup ANIYA, plus 15-year- old keyboardist, producer and arranger KNE-O'CHAW HAMPTON. On the last Friday of each month, all Smooth Jazz aficionados will be able to schedule an escape from your busy lifestyle...in a place that's created just for you and where you can eat, drink and Get Their Smooth Groove On.
South Jersey's only Smooth Jazz listener appreciation parties will make it LIVE--with concerts showcasing many of the region's emerging Smooth Jazz stars & PERSONAL--with socializing, networking and partying in the cozy atmosphere of our host venue.
LAST FRIDAYS will present a sophisticated and classy mix of Smooth Jazz, delicious food, occasional gourmet wine tastings, hourly door prizes and even an old-school dance partying in between and after the live music sets. Live performances by the region's most talented emerging artists will have our patrons looking forward to each subsequent visits. SMOOTH 91.7 creator, producer and host Dorian Gilmer will set a festive tone with Mardi Gras beads to welcome patrons and door prizes such as Smooth Jazz cds, SMOOTH 91.7 sampler cds and t-shirts, as well as sponsored copies of national Jazz magazine publications...and that's just for starters.
“LAST FRIDAYS" IS ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC & THE MUSIC LOVER... and other artists whose music will be “discovered"(or re-discovered) at LAST FRIDAYS will include... AIRBORNE, PAULA ATHERTON, PAULINE BENNICK, ALFONSO BLACKWELL, ELLAS y AMIGOS, KNE- O'CHAW HAMPTON, IGUAZU, HOWARD ISAACSON, GORDON JAMES, ANDREW NEU, PLEX BAND, QUEST feat. MIKE JAROSZ, SPUR OF THE MOMENT, LOUIS “NICKY" TAYLOR, DON “JUAN" WARD, LANNY WARD, ...and numerous other pleasant surprises.
