Dinner from 5:00pm
Showcase 6:00pm-7:00pm

Cynthia Holiday always gets asked two questions about her name: Is Holiday a stage name? “My maiden name is Cynthia Holiday,” and, are you related to Billie Holiday? “I find it flattering and always say, We are sisters in the name of song." “My family name is Cynthia Joyce Holiday, born to Johnnie and Betty Holiday in Newark, NJ.”

Song Stylist, Ms. Holiday’s debut show “I Like What I See” Showcase at Birdland will be joined by Winard Harper-Drums, Music Director, Radam Schwartz-B3 Organ and Avi Rathbart-Guitar.

She will introduce three original songs including her own lyric to “I Like What I See" with music written by Radam Schwartz. She explains, “It’s a familiar scenario. Girls night out. I see the finest man I ever saw in my life, then thinking to myself, I don’t know him but...” You’ll love her story.

The two other originals “Beneath the Surface" a soulful hard bop tune by Bill Saxton and “So I’m Late” by Radam Schwartz will follow later in the set.

This engagement reprises last year’s Birdland recording session awaiting release that included her opening theme song, “I Love Being Here With You” / “Getting to Know You" Medley.

All the Way was her debut recording on Miles High Records: Miles High Records

Distributed by City Hall: City Hall Records

“When one considers her very attractive voice, swinging style, and ability to make vintage standards sound as fresh and lively as her originals, there is no doubt that Cynthia Holiday will be a major attraction at clubs and festivals for many years to come.”

Be there to listen live when she debuts he original lyrics.
