THE SECOND ANNUAL KINGSTON INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL
(down by the river in Kingston, New York)

Planet Arts and the city of Kingston, New York are happy to announce the 2nd annual Kingston International Jazz Festival. Located on the Hudson River 80 miles north of New York City and 50 miles south of Albany, the three day event will take place on June 23, 24 and 25 in the historic river-town community. All events are free, rain or shine.

The 2006 all-star lineup includes:

Friday, June 23 7:30 PM
in the council chamber of the historic Kingston City Hall

Rufus Reid Quintet + Four
The String Trio of New York

Saturday, June 24
4:00 to 10:00 PM
(down in the Rondout)

The Barry Harris Quintet
The Joe Locke Trio
The Ben Allison Quartet
The John Menegon Quintet

Sunday, June 25
Noon to 7:00 PM
( down in the rondout)

The Count Basie Orchestra
The Russell Malone Quartet
The Diane Delin Quartet
The Brian Patneaude Quintet
The Teri Roiger Quartet
Kingston High School Jazz Ensemble (under the direction of Bob Schaut)

Sunday, June 25
will also include the annual Kingston Independence celebration from 7:00PM to 10:00 PM featuring great food, live music and a dazzling fireworks display.
