Saxophonist Saco Yasuma and her ensemble Yo'in will play her original compositions at the newest jazz space in Brooklyn, 419 Sounds, on Thursday, June 15th. Saco's music is noted for its lingering melodies loaded with grooving rhythmic patterns. The group features the tight rhythm section of Rob Blumenthal on drums and percussions, Lee Marvin on bass, and this time Saco has invited the versatile guitarist David Phelps to add elusive lines and atmospheric shapes to her ensemble. Please come by and check out the music, as well as the new performance space which bassist Lee Marvin and his wife Karen offer to the music community.
