Ignite brunch, Lazy Sundays, Live Music at the Royal Albert Hall

Sundays: 1 July - 30 September 2007, doors open at 11am with music from 12 noon



The Royal Albert Hall is pleased to announce the second season of the ignite brunch series. Taking place on Sundays in the Hall's stunning Caf Consort this series offers the opportunity to enjoy music by outstanding young jazz and world music artists, whilst enjoying an exclusive brunch menu - the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.



Taking place most Sundays from July to September the season launches on Sunday 1 July with the soulful music of The Eddie Herbert Quartet. This will be followed by a variety of other ensembles performing in a diverse range of styles including jazz, bossa nova, Skiffle and Joropo.



Tickets for ignite brunch cost 25 per head and include a Bucks Fizz or Bloody Mary on arrival, a main course and dessert from the Hall's special brunch menu, tea or coffee and vibrant live music. Doors open at 11am with music from 12 noon to 2pm. ignite brunch can be booked through the Hall's Box Office on 020 7589 8212.

Ensamble Criollo: Sunday 8 July - Llanera/joropo group performing in a unique rhythmic South American musical style

Georgia Mancio Quartet: Sunday 15 July - Award-winning vocalist fusing Italian, Brazilian, Chilean and Cuban classics with jazz standards

Lonnigans Skiffle Quartet: Sunday 29 July - The UK's top skiffle group play American roots music in a thoroughly British fashion

The Ashes Quartet: Sunday 19 August - Lively and engaging Australian/English jazz collaboration

Gustavo Marques Quintet: Sunday 2 September - A fusion of bossa nova, afox & samba

Alex Hutton Trio: Sunday 16 September - Critically acclaimed jazz pianist accompanied by double bass and drums

Los Desterrados: Sunday 30 September - A rousing and rootsy take on the ancient folk music of the Sephardic Jews.
