Multi-instrumentalist Rico Belled will release his follow-up to “The Pursuit Of Comfort", called XR7, on May 9th 2012. Consisting of ten brand new originals, the record is an homage to his beloved 1973 Mercury Cougar XR7 and machines in general, featuring musical adventures in many different genres; from Funk to Electronica, from Latin to Pop, but Jazz is the heart and soul of it all.

Enlisting a who's who of Los Angeles session guys, Rico has created a truly innovative sound, blending real musicianship with the most modern technology; often starting without a click track, playing with a 5 piece band, live in the studio; layer upon layer of orchestration results in a wall of sound for the new millennium.

You'll find: Jeff Kashiwa, Eric Marienthal, Scheila Gonzalez (Zappa Plays Zappa) on saxophones, Chris Coleman, Jonathan Dresel (Kimmel Live) and Dave Karasony on drums, Ronnie Gutierrez on percussion, Brad Rabuchin on guitar, Stan Sargeant and Randy Landas on bass, Andy Langham and John Greathouse on keys.
