Making New York home for the past fifteen years, Rez Abbasi is considered to be one of today's foremost modern jazz guitar players. He has developed a unique sound both as a composer and an instrumentalist.

Rez has honed his skills with performances throughout the world including multiple tours in Europe, Canada, Mexico, the U.S. and India. He has also performed and/or recorded with many including, Ruth Brown, Peter Erskine, Kenny Werner, Barre Phillips, Tim Hagans, Marc Johnson, Billy Hart, Gary Thomas, Kiran Ahluwalia, Dave Douglas, Greg Osby, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Kadri Gopalnath and a host of others.

His new recording, Bazaar, is due out in November on the Zoho label.
