The Jazz Bridge First Thursdays Neighborhood Concerts Series at the Collingswood Community Center, 30 East Collings Avenue in Collingswood, NJ presents Reverend Chris on Thursday, May 1st. Pianist/bandleader/vocalist Reverend Chris,who came to Philadelphia from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina destroyed his home, plays a mixture of eclectic swing, blues, boogie-woogie, original compositions, and even acoustic funk, all laced with a heavy dose of The Reverend’s New Orleans-styled piano and Big Easy attitude. The Reverend and the High Rollers appear at clubs and festivals nationally and regionally, including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Philadelphia Folk Festival, and Bourbon Street’s Storyville Jazz Parlour.
