RALE MICIC FEATURES NEW TRIO AT CORNELIA STREET CAFE

On Wednesday evening, January 14, one of the most original jazz guitarist and composers on the music scene today, Rale Micic, will present a concert at Cornelia Street Cafe.

During past two years, guitarist Micic established himself as one of the most inventive voices in music, leading a quintet featuring jazz great Tom Harrell. His Cornelia Street Cafe appearance marks premiere of his new Trio, including Miriam Sullivan on bass and Greg Hutchinson on drums.

“The New York jazz scene, and by extension jazz modern mainstream, has Rale Micic to thank for a portion of its continued growth" wrote Jim Santella in All About Jazz. The concert at Cornelia Street Cafe will largely consist of newly written songs, exploring interaction between his cultural roots in Serbia and his extensive knowledge of Jazz.

Doors open at 8:30 P.M. Reservations are being taken and can be obtained by calling 212- 989-9319. Cornelia Street Cafe is located at 29 Cornelia Street in Manhattan.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
