OGOGO is proud to release their new duo album, Redux, which will be available February 13 on III Records. It's an electro-acoustic avant-garde inflected recording by way of a modified baroque aesthetic.

The major trendsetter of contemporary Avant-Garde music, OGOGO has spoken itself in the lingua franca of Avant-Garde, Experimental, Classical, Collage, Ambiant, Atonal, Surreal, Electronic, Hypnotic Spacey Sound and Sociopath Recordings with easiness and eagerness. Apart from the stylistic background, their divergent trombone/guitar sound and compositions are distinctly OGOGO-like, constantly united with an improvisational brilliance devoted to the most excellent in the Avant-Garde idiom.

OGOGO’s Redux consists of the two musicians - brilliant Rodney Oakes (MIDI trombone), and Igor Grigoriev (guitar).

“I've always wanted to make atonal record," says Igor. “That's where I started as an OGOGO guitar player. I commenced a special exploration for an artistic idea of music beyond the ordinary modal system and ‘discovered’ it in “atonal" compositions - the older relative to and motivation for the minimalism that we all find irresistible. I've always cherished dodecaphonic music but I’ve never, in reality, immersed myself into it. My explorations guided me to numerous compositions that truly touched me. It's actually great material. Obviously, it will be atonal music done by OGOGO style - all of the compositions are co-written by Rod Oakes and Igor Grigoriev."

Track highlights comprise of “Chocolate Bar," “Lunch On The Peacock," “Religious Symbol," “Jewel Encrusted Eyeball" and the symphonic “OGOGO Serenade."
