Jeff Foxx, 98.7 KISS FMs(WRKS-FM) veteran, on-air morning personality, is set to turn heads with the imminent release of his own artist CD titled, Jeff Foxx. Known for the past 18 years as one of New York Citys morning radio market leaders, Foxx will soon be jockeying for airplay on the very station (among others) over which he presides. On September 13th, Jeff will release his debut disc via his own Nerraj record label, with the lead track Sunset Drive currently gracing airwaves.

Foxx, a husband and father of three, has been preparing for this moment his whole life. A bass guitarist since the age of 10, Jeff has played with such music mainstays as Chaka Khan, Al Jarreau, Isaac Hayes and Roy Ayers. Now, with the opportunity to step out, Foxx looks forward to offering his passion for music making and performance to his massive listening audience. Foxx says, With the exception of my family, music has been my greatest joy, ever since I can remember. Whether its exposing people to new or familiar music through my radio show, or creating my own songs and playing them for worldwide audiences, music is my passion. There are few feelings that surpass the elation that comes with providing people with a good, musical feeling. Its what Im here for.

Jeffs contemporary R&B and jazz band features keyboardist Damon Upshaw, drummer Kevin Bennett, guitarist Ivan Ramirez, vocalists Corey Fillmore and Mitch Matlock, and of course, Foxx on bass guitar. Collaborating with renowned songwriter and music producer Bernard Belle (hit maker for Michael Jackson and Bobby Brown) for the Jeff Foxx disc, Jeff has concocted a satisfyingly smooth musical ride. The CD will be available online via iTunes and CD Baby. Look for an upcoming announcement of tour dates and media appearances.
