2. Greenleaf Music Announces Forthcoming Dave Douglas & Keystone Recording, Moonshine

Dave Douglas' Keystone band emerges again with their follow-up to 2005's Grammy-nominated Keystone album. Moonshine is hybrid recording combining the raw blowing, eye-popping, ear-bending live experience that this band is known for, and neo-psychedelic post-production. The end result is a masterwork of improvised electro-jazz and features 9 new Douglas compositions.

Keystone is comprised of Dave Douglas on trumpet, Marcus Strickland on saxes, Adam Benjamin of Kneebody on Rhodes, Brad Jones on the Ampeg Baby Bass, Gene Lake on drums, and DJ Olive on turntables.

Preorder begins on November 6th.

“Keystone is a riveting modernist requiem: growling electric piano, whirlpool-funk drums and the twin-snake dance of sax and Douglas' punchy pleading horn, set in the echo-chamber chapel of Miles Davis' In a Silent Way." -Rolling Stone
