They once were classmates at the prestigous New England Conservatory in Boston. Now the Quartet of Happiness, Colin Stack Novelty Act, and the Daniel Bennett Group will reunite for a triple bill concert on March 31 at the Lilly Pad in Inman Square, Cambridge.

The Quartet of Happiness is a performance-art oriented band featuring Rick Stone, Kelly Roberge, Austin McMahon, and Kendall Eddy. Colin Stack was a composition major at NEC. Now his new group Novelty Act performs his brand of quirky acoustic driven folk pop. Daniel Bennett studied Saxophone at NEC and formed a trio that plays his unique “folk jazz." Joining him will be Chris Hersch on acoustic guitar and John Servo on bass.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
