Romhog Records is proud to bring you its 8th release, “NO SOAP RADIO", Barry Romberg's Random Access, Part 4.

This is the latest installment & fourth in the Random Access series from the man who brought you The MRC Trio & Inside Out. The Random Access project 2005 National Jazz Award Nominee for Best Electric Group has evolved from a studio experiment into a killer live band.

This latest cd features some of Canada's finest musicians: Hugh Marsh (violin), Kevin Turcotte (trumpet), Kelly Jefferson (saxophones), Geoff Young (guitars), Rich Brown (bass), Adrean Farrugia (fender rhodes), Greg De Denus (fender rhodes), Peter Lutek (Reeds) & Barry Romberg (drums, elec perc, perc, keyboards)

The cd offers up an array of different flavours ranging from the epic opener “3rd Rock From The Sun"--a tribute to John Coltrane, and a real tour de force, featuring Geoff Young, BR, Hugh Marsh & some haunting saxophone work by Peter Lutek ; the funky & quirky “Master Of The Universe" --a great ensemble piece that features everyone, with some great horn work by Kevin Turcotte & Kelly Jefferson; the groovy “Funky Monk" -- a showcase for the exceptional guitar stylings of Geoff Young; the Weather Report inspired “Additional Ornamentation" and the trumpet feature “Her Magesties Secret Donut" a nod to 'In A Silent Way' . The cd closes with the exotic sounds of “One Sock One Shoe"-- dedicated to Hunter Thompson, another great example of some fine ensemble playing with a surprise ending that features the great Hugh Marsh & BR takin it up a notch!

If you like to live dangerously, musically speaking, you've come to the right place.

“Random Access" will be touring Canada this November (19-26) and recording two new CD's; a studio recording & a live CD, along with a full length DVD to further document the NO SOAP RADIO TOUR in all its glory.
