Sidony Box is one of France's significant up-and-coming jazz combos—a power jazz trio. They bring a variety of perspectives and influences to their recordings and gigs. Guitarist Manuel Adnot's references are numerous and eclectic—such as Deftones, Happy Apple, Sigur Ros & Radiohead; drummer Arthur Narcy is an ardent trance and “working sound" devotee; and saxophonist Elie Dalibert is more anchored in the jazz tradition yet naturally open to all sound cultures. The raison d'tre of the trio is to play the music of the moment rather than to lock itself in a definitive style.

Winners of the “Rezzo Jazz Vienne 2010" showcase and selected for the Afijma's “Jazz migration 2011" tour, Sidony Box has released its eponymous debut album on the Yolk label, and Pink Paradise, on Nave, is the follow-up. The release date is October 18, 2011. Sidony Box is currently (as of October) on tour in Europe with The Bad Plus.
