Cabaret Voltaire presents the jAzz poet Namaya performing GOD SEX POLITICS a high energy fusion of spoken word, music, and stories.

On the 2009 GOD SEX POLITICS tours he will be playing in Honolulu, Sydney, and Melbourne. He has performed on tour in Europe, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, throughout the US and in the famed poetry clubs of the Bowery and the Nuyorican Poetry Cafe. “Great show!” said the Nuyorican. Namaya is innovative and irreverent performance artist with his trademark style of political satire and humor, addressing themes as diverse as “Whites Only?” “Palestine” and voodoo love. His improvisation is, “An astonishing flight of words and sounds." Equally engaging is Namaya’s ability to spontaneously create poems and stories drawn from the suggestions of the audience; one performance in Amsterdam had the crowd cheering for more poems of, “Flying pigs, greasy chicken thighs, quantum physics and true love.” Namaya, as the Voice said “…One of the stellar voices of the spoken word scene with his outrageous, bawdy, sensuous stories and vibrant political satire.” The Nuyorican Cafe in NYC said, “Great show!” “Brilliant!” exclaimed Apples and Snakes in London “Encore!” The Winston in Amsterdam Profits from Namaya's performance and writings supports gracecares.com.
