San Francisco transplant and 2007 MAC award nominee for Outstanding Jazz vocalist, Mychelle Colleary will spend Tuesdays in August at the Metropolitan Room exploring some new arrangements and original tunes with her favorite coconspirators: David Budway on piano, Gavin Fallow on bass, Mayra Casala on Percussion, and Sylvia Cuenca on drums, following Annie Ross' 7:00PM set.

This latest jazz offering playfully explores the idea that “August is Romance Awareness Month"... because recognizing a problem is half the battle.

Hip, flip, and always sure of herself... tongue-in-cheek edge... sassy... her vulnerability and open emotionality seem to be her truest assets... a singer who takes chances vocally... a confident voice with engaging nuances... riveting
~ John Hoglund, Backstage

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
