Knoxville, TN: Starting August 2012, Music Arts Management will provide worldwide representation for the jazz keyboard player, composer, and arranger Yaron Gershovsky.

Already well-known as the long-standing musical director and pianist of the acclaimed vocal group The Manhattan Transfer, Yaron Gershovsky will work with Music Arts Management to present the Yaron Gershovsky Trio along with a series of newly-developed jazz education programs.

The Yaron Gershovsky Trio features Gershovsky’s compositions and keyboard playing along with experienced jazzmen David Finck on bass and Buddy Williams on drums. In 2011, the Trio released their second CD, State of Mind, to positive press reviews.

In addition to his international touring, Gershovsky will present The Art of Jazz Collaboration, a masterclass and lecture given in tandem with world-renowned vocalist Janis Siegel. In it, both artists share their insights on jazz ensemble performance and the elusive art of accompanying vocalists. Another educational project will be entitled The Role of the Musical Director: Jazz, The Manhattan Transfer, Broadway, and Beyond.
