Since his childhood, pianist and composer, Michiel Borstlap, has expressed great affection for those musicians and composers who “show their heart". In his short, yet distinguished career, Michiel has had two international palmares: he was named as “The Best Soloist" at the Europe Jazz Contest 1992 and in 1996 he won the prestigious “Thelonious Monk Composers Award."
