Michaela Rabitsch & Robert Pawlik Quartet appear at Festival Lent, Maribor, Slovenias premier summer festival

Wednesday, July 8, 2009, 21:00
Maribor, Slovenia, Festival Lent, Stage: Judgement tower

Michaela Rabitsch, singer, composer and Austrias only and top female jazz trumpet player and her ingenious partner, composer and guitarist Robert Pawlik are pleased to present their junior release Moods in Maribor, Slovenia. They present songs that reflect the passion, energy and emotions of their life.

Moods is their first recording with exclusively original compositions presented by both leaders, reflecting the core of their current work.

For more than ten years now they have shared their private and musical lives, playing together in their jazz quartet and their acoustic duo, writing for both groups and playing concert tours together.

Together they have developed a rich and eventful style, never trying to be purits only, but always looking for the core message of each song they are writing or playing, and how they can express it best.

The fact, that Michaela is a trumpet player and singer at the same time gives her an extra venue of possibilities in expression and interpretation.

Line up: Michaela Rabitsch - voc, tp, flg; Robert Pawlik - git; Karl Sayer - b; Dusan Novakov - dm.

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
