Personnel includes Steve Wilson - alto and soprano saxophones, Daniel Sadownick - percussion, Ugonna Okegwo - bass, and Willie Jones - drums.
Weiss has established his career for over twenty years in New York performing with the likes of Johnny Griffin, Art Farmer, Charles McPherson, Slide Hampton, Wynton Marsalis, George Coleman, Frank Wess and a host of other jazz veterans.
His fourth recording as a leader, Soul Journey, features nine original compositions including the 2000 grandprize winner of the BMI/Thelonious Monk Institute Composers Competition. Weiss has gained greater recognition as a composer with a New Works grant from Chamber Music America.
