Mexican actress turned alt-pop-jazz singer Ximena Sarinana will release her debut album, Mediocre, in the U.S. on July 15. Released in Mexico in February, Mediocre debuted near the top of the Mexican charts, peaking at No. 2.
The album (Warner Music Latina) is the States introduction to the 22-year-old actress/singer. Sarinana has been acting professionally since she was 4. Her father is Mexican film director Fernando Sarinana; her mother, Carolina Rivera, is a screenwriter/producer. Sarinana got her start in music singing the theme song to the telenovela Luz Clarita, which she also appeared in, when she was 8. She will appear in her fathers film Enemigos intimos later this year.
