The series begins with percussionist She-e Wu in concert with cellist Ole Eirik Ree. The two will perform many duets as well as solo works. Wu, one of the top marimbists in the world, is also the head of the Rutgers Percussion Ensemble. Her concert is on Friday, September 17 at 8:00 p.m. in the Nicholas Music Center.
Min Kwon, on piano, performs on Thursday, September 23 at 8:00 p.m. in the Nicholas Music Center. Her guests include Arnold Steinhardt, violin, Paul Neubauer, viola, and Jonathan Spitz, cello. The event will be an evening of classical music.
The third concert of the series features clarinetist Maureen Hurd. Being presented on Tuesday, September 28 at 8:00 p.m., guest artists include Susan Starr, piano, and Jonathan Spitz, cello. The trio will perform Brahm's Trio, Opus 114 in the Nicholas Music Center.
The final concert in the series will be on Sunday, October 3 at 8:00 p.m. Featuring University Organist Antonius Bittmann on the organ, the concert will take place in Kirkpatrick Chapel on the Old Queen's campus of Rutgers, The State University of New Brunswick in New Brunswick. He will be joined by the Rutgers Brass Ensemble under the direction of Scott Whitener.
